Position Overview

The Senior Product Director, Chemistry, leads the Reaxys product team. Responsibilities include defining the product’s strategic vision, growth, roadmaps, innovation, user satisfaction, maintenance, and quality control. The role also encompasses managing the product’s commercial strategy, including pricing, packaging, and evolving business models.

The ideal candidate will have extensive Product Management experience, especially in leveraging data and analytics to innovate decision support solutions in Pharmaceutical R&D and Industrial Chemistry. Knowledge of Pharma R&D and Commercial Chemistry processes, from synthetic to medicinal chemistry, is preferred.

Familiarity with new technologies such as generative AI and RAG is essential to evolve our solutions. The role involves translating market trends into differentiated products with a focus on monetization, pricing, packaging, and market strategy.

Responsibilities Vision and Strategy

• Develop a compelling vision for our chemistry solutions, leveraging AI technologies to support customers.
• Define and communicate strategic direction and positioning for the Chemistry portfolio, identifying market opportunities and differentiators.
• Identify monetizable extensions of existing use cases for growth.

Product Roadmap Ownership

• Create product roadmaps aligned with strategic goals to drive portfolio growth.
• Collaborate with Technology and Operations teams to execute the roadmaps.
• Prioritize initiatives across the portfolio.
• Oversee platform maintenance, quality, and content updates.

Customer Discovery and Innovation

• Engage with customers to understand needs and pain points.
• Drive innovation for new offerings and enhancements.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry shifts.
• Evaluate options to buy, build, or partner for expanding use cases.
• Build and monetize new chemistry AI tools.

Commercial Strategy

• Lead packaging and pricing strategies for the Chemistry Portfolio.
• Develop go-to-market strategies with marketing and sales teams.

Requirements

• Advanced Degree in Chemistry or related field (Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry); MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in tech product management, especially in digital solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic insight.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial acumen with experience in monetization strategies.
• Proven leadership in senior roles.
• Collaborative, proactive, strategic thinker with a passion for innovation.
• Deep understanding of the life sciences sector.
