Location: Flexible working – 50/50 split between home-working, and 175 St John Street, Farringdon
We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Officer to join our growing Communications Team!
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative communicator to help take our social media channels to the next level. This new role in our team will support us to create compelling social media content to drive engagement with our audiences, raise funds and awareness of Place2Be.
As the Social Media Officer, you will work with the Communications Manager to manage our social media content schedule, create content for our channels, and closely monitor our social media inboxes to provide timely and appropriate responses to our community.
You will also work closely with our Digital Marketing Manager, supporting with paid social campaigns, PPC and SEO. This is a great opportunity for someone who is keen to develop their digital marketing skills.

What will I be responsible for, you will:
* support the Communications Manager in the creation of social media posts
* support the Digital Marketing Manager in managing paid social media campaigns, Google AdWords and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
* report on social media performance, and the success of campaigns
* help manage the content schedule for Place2Be’s social media channels
* work in collaboration with our Designer and Videographer to create assets for our channels, such as graphics, GIFs and videos
* work closely with the Communications Manager to explore new content ideas for social media, such as Instagram reels, quizzes and polls

About You
The successful candidate will have:
* confidence using organic social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) for organic posts and responding to comments.
* an understanding of the social media landscape, emerging channels and trends
* ability to explain social media, SEO and PPC to colleagues using accessible language
* social media copy writing skills and able to effectively respond to social media comments
* ability to prioritise a busy workload and work well in a team
* experience using Photoshop and Canva to edit artwork / photos for social media (Desirable)
* ability to pick up new software and technologies quickly
