This is a crucial role acting as a member of the Business and Legal Affairs (“BLA”) Global Distribution team, providing business and legal affairs support as required by the Global News distribution business, with a particular focus on distribution of BBC World News, the BBC’s biggest TV channel, and syndication of News, Sport and Features content from BBC.com.
This includes: being a vital, trusted advisor within the Global News team and to the Global Distribution business teams; delivering first hand and first class business and legal affairs support on matters of key strategic, financial and reputational importance to relevant business including advice and support to all aspects of GNL’s business.
Key clients include the distribution, sales and marketing, digital and technology, engineering and operations, and editorial teams, ensuring that the highest standards of corporate governance, risk management and compliance with law, policy and regulation are observed at all times.
