The Role:

M&G Wealth Investments is a newly formed function within M&G Wealth which will manfacture the new range of multi-asset model portfolio solutions for intermediary and internal advice clients. The team will work closely with the Treasury & Investment Office and other areas in M&G to construct the portfolios and manage them on an ongoing basis. Working with the the Chief Investment Officer and the Head of Model Portfolio Operations, this role will support the wider M&G Wealth Investments unit, both on the investment management and operational aspects.

• Accountable for delivering a quality service and product to customers and stakeholders
• Focuses on quality of delivery to achieve clear outputs within guidelines and precedent
• Runs the organisation’s processes and systems following pre-defined procedures

Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Responsible for assisting portfolio managers with the day to day management of model portfolios aiming to achieve client objectives while adhering to internal constraints/guidelines/governance and relevant regulations.
• Produce periodic portfolio and business reporting for investment committees and other forums
• Assist in the periodic rebalancing process for the model portfolios, ensuring that portfolios are accruaterly recorded on platforms and internal systems
• Perform adhoc research to assist the portfolio managers and CIO
• Assist in project related work, including the creation of new portfolio ranges and internal business development projects
• Assist in client support activities, such as creating client reports and marketing materials

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Exeprience in Financial Services
• Good knowledge & experience of the investment management process
• Good knowledge and understanding of operational processes
• Demonstrable track record and experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Appropriately recognised professional qualification (or working towards one), such as the IMC
