We are looking for a Motor Underwriter to join us at INSHUR! We’re based in sunny Brighton (sea, chips, and seagulls included), and our company embraces a hybrid working model, allowing you to thrive in both collaborative office settings and the comfort of your own home. You’ll have the opportunity to work remotely while also connecting with your colleagues at our Brighton office at least once a week, fostering a dynamic and supportive environment.
You’ll be working on re-inventing insurance in exciting markets across multiple territories including the UK, US, and the Netherlands, with plans to expand into new European countries.
Supported by (and reporting to) the Director of Underwriting, you’ll be joining a friendly team of 4 who believe in delivering highly innovative, data-led, sustainable insurance products by challenging everything they know about insurance.

What you’ll do
As a Motor Underwriter you will be responsible for managing the underwriting strategy and ongoing development of our motor portfolio. You will focus on innovation, profitability & growth to develop and deliver the insurance product strategy and all related activities in close collaboration with the sales, marketing and technology teams. Working alongside peers who cover other products/territories, you will be leading initiatives to accelerate growth, profitability and to continually optimise the customer lifecycle.
