Marketing & Communications Officer

Our client is a charitable organisation improving the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our communities, including caring for people with profound disabilities, children, older people and those living on the margins of society. It’s looking to recruit to a new senior role for an experienced Marketing & Communications Officer that the successful applicant will shape and develop with time.

Part of a friendly team of four and reporting to the Marketing Manager, as Marketing & Communications Officer you will be responsible for supporting every aspect of the charity’s marketing requirements in line with the marketing, communication and publicity strategy, including:

• Creation and design, editing and proofreading, a range of charity publications including: websites and social media postings, brochures, newsletters, annual reviews and any other relevant charity documentation
• Ensuring a consistent and regular charity message is in place at all services and is communicated clearly at all times
• Input to all digital media platforms and oversee and maintain the charity’s media profile
• Supporting with seasonal activities and events at all of the charity’s services as and when required
• Attending staff meetings and training as and when required

As Marketing & Communications Officer you’ll need:

• Strong experience gained in Marketing and/or Communications Officer, Executive or Assistant role – experience working in the charity sector potentially advantageous
• Relevant education and/or professional qualifications beneficial
• Proficiency in working creatively and commercially in relation to time, cost and deadlines
• Close attention to detail – excellent communication skills ensuring accurate outputs at all times
• Adobe Creative skills beneficial
• A full driving licence with access to a car for business use
• To treat people with dignity and respect
• To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection requirements in accordance with legislation and charity policy
• To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
• To be professional, friendly and work with a positive attitude

Rewards and benefits:

• £30,000 salary plus benefits
• Full time permanent role (35 hours per week)
