TITLE: Marketing Communications and PR Officer
LOCATION: Newtownabbey
HOURLY RATE: £19.35
HOURS: 37 hours, Monday Friday 9am-5pm
DURATION: 1 year initially with possibility of extension
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Marketing Communications and PR Officer who will contribute to the delivery of a full range of proactive marketing and communication functions across the Council to support the delivery of the Council s Corporate objectives.

Applicants must, by the closing date for applications, have:
Experience
A degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Marketing, Communications, Business Studies or an equivalent level 6 qualification, as per the UK qualifications framework in a relevant discipline.
Skills/Abilities/Knowledge
1. Possess at least 2 years experience in a wide range of Marketing and PR activities to include experience of the following:
2. Have 1 years experience in public relations.
3. Good planning and project management skills.
4. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
5. Displays a positive attitude including a solution based, flexible and enthusiastic approach.
6. Maintain a high standard of quality and accuracy.
7. Creative and innovative to deliver service improvements.
8. Full current driving licence or, if a disability prevents driving, access to a suitable form of transport to enable the duties of the post to be carried out in full.
9. To be available from time to time to carry out duties outside of normal working pattern and in addition to basic contracted hours. Such additional hours will be remunerated in line with Council s approved policies at that time.
