The Wellcome Collection Marketing Team promotes Wellcome Collection’s vision and mission via audience-first marketing campaigns, building Wellcome Collection and Wellcome’s brand, influence and reputation.
The successful Marketing Comms Officer candidate will report to the Wellcome Collection Marketing Lead as part of a team of four, within a wider Wellcome Collection Communications team in Corporate Affairs. This is a six-month part-time (4 days per week) opportunity to support the team.
In this role you will:
Support the delivery of marketing campaigns for Wellcome Collection that broaden and diversify Wellcome Collection’s audiences
Assist in the creation of create briefs and presentations
Create copy for newsletters, digital marketing assets and any other materials as required
Embed our anti-racist and anti-ableist principles, especially when creating materials to support marketing campaigns
Organise, plan and evaluate events such as private views, marketing breakfasts, press views, industry roundtables
Maintain and update contact databases
Maintain and continuously update content calendars and planning grids for Wellcome Collection
Establish relationships across Wellcome Collection, engaging with colleagues about how brand and marketing can help deliver the organisation’s goals.
To be successful in this role you will:
Be able to manage multiple projects, prioritising appropriately to meet set deadlines
Use strong copywriting skills and attention to detail when it comes to copy and design
Be a clear communicator who can update colleagues and stakeholders confidently on progress and when plans change
Maintain the ability to work autonomously and proactively within a small team
Demonstrate creativity, imagination and initiative with strong attention to detail
Have a willingness to learn and flex as the team requires.
Salary: £30,000 pro rata
