Our client based in Inverness has a new and unique opportunity to join a well established team. Working as a Marketing and E-Commerce Manager you will play a key role in our role in leading their online proposition and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a marketing team, optimising their eCommerce operations, driving revenue, and expanding our clients online presence with the guiding principle of making it easy for the customer to do business with them.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a successful record in driving online sales and optimising conversion rates. This candidate will have a strategic mindset with strong analytical skills and will have the ability to coordinate cross-functional collaboration.
The eCommerce and Marketing Manager will be office based and therefore will need to live within an easily commutable distance of Inverness. However, regular visits to customers and branches will be a key part of this role and so you will need have a full UK driving license and be able to undertake occasional overnight trips.
The role requires someone who is driven, proactive and able to take ownership and who ideally has a sound knowledge of the industries we serve, along with the supplies and solutions we deliver. They will be part of the Operations Management Team and will bring ideas and opportunities to both the OMT and Senior Management Team (SMT).
Whilst in this role you will be responsible for but not limited to;
Creating and executing a comprehensive eCommerce and marketing strategy that aligns with the business goals and objectives, generating leads, growing sales and contributing to revenue growth.
Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Purchasing, Commercial and Retail managers and product management teams to develop effective product range strategies.
Own and manage a multi-channel campaign plan and calendar across all paid digital channels, email marketing CRM and eCommerce promotions to enable cross functional visibility and planning.
Analyse and regularly report on eCommerce and marketing performance.
Manage the eCommerce and marketing P&L, allocating budget and resources effectively to achieve ROI targets.
Lead, coach and develop the marketing team ensuring the best use of individual skills.
Skills and Experience
A proven track record of delivering results in an eCommerce/marketing role, preferably in a comparable B2B/B2C business is essential.
Must have strong commercial experience with an understanding of the marketing funnel and how to use it to drive growth.
Must be proficient in digital platforms, analytics tools and digital marketing strategies.
Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
Proven experience of managing a team with the ability to motivate and engage them is essential.
Must have experience in aligning stock management and operations with the overall eCommerce strategy.
Will adopt a highly analytical and methodical approach with high attention to detail and the ability to use data to make decisions and solve problems.
Ideally will be qualified with a relevant degree and CIM and IDM accreditations.
Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
