Responsible for managing a team to drive operational excellence through acting as a “gatekeeper” and owner for all communications, programs and policies that impact on site operations, delivering continuous improvement of retail on-site processes, implementing effective programmes and delivering best-in-class tools to deliver the customer strategy while maximizing value, delivering gross margin and minimising costs.

The Maintenance Assurance Lead is responsible for driving consistency in process and ensuring compliance to our operating standards for store and maintenance teams across Europe and South Africa (ESA). They also play a key role in supporting continuous improvement in our maintenance operations including process optimisation and support of future innovations such as predictive maintenance.
What the role does!
Ensuring consistent maintenance ways of working and standards are applied across ESA
Completes risk-based assurance checks of retail activities related with maintenance to ensure checks and inspections are done regularly.
Assuring the supporting processes for emaintenance+ are embedded and followed by store teams
Define’s cleaning, checks and inspection activities for on-site operators M&C Europe, engaging with maintenance teams and contractors.
Supporting the equipment enabling team from an operational perspective and ensuring new equipment standards are delivered across ESA
Accountable for supporting the delivery of our in house smart digital asset programme that strives to deliver predictive maintenance across ESA
Responsibility for crafting financial memorandums and economic models for change activity and ensuring financial delivery of the project through accurate expense and capital management. This includes ensuring that invoices and PO’s are raised and accrued for when projects require it.
Develop project plans for all individual projects and manage the project through to implementation ensuring plans are current and meet business needs, risk are managed and that milestones are met on time and within budget.
To ensure that all business partners are engaged and communicated to throughout projects. Ensure adequate performance updates are created and cascaded to business stakeholders.
What we need from you!
Capable of leading projects with a consistent track record of accomplishments in continuous improvement projects and problem solving.
Strong understanding of CI and project/programme management
Business/retail/commercial skill and the interpretation and utilisation of financial data
Experienced in delivering significant change as an individual contributor
Strong Maintenance or Operations Management experience
Exceptionally strong network & partner management, both internal and external
Strong understanding of retail maintenance management
Experience in product management or delivery of software/data projects in a large organisation
Ability to challenge current state and motivated to improve the business; strong ability to influence without authority at all levels of the organisation.
Education
Degree level education in business/marketing/engineering a preference
Project management qualifications beneficial
