Position: Linux Infrastructure Engineer
Contract Duration: 6 months
Location: London (on-site)
Rate: 550 per day (Inside IR35)

Clearance: DV (Enhanced) required prior to work starting

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Linux-based infrastructure to sustain and decommission two key IT platforms consisting of Cisco FlexPod CVD patterns. This role requires working on task packages allocated on a 10-week cadence from a backlog of deliverables and aligned with organizational-wide PI planning cadences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and sustain Linux-based infrastructure.
• Decommission key IT platforms as required.
• Align tasks with organizational PI planning cadences.
• Ensure system security and efficiency.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Redhat and Debian operating systems.
• Proficiency with container operating systems and technologies (K8S, K3S, EKS, AKS, GKS).
• Knowledge of F5, Traefik, Service Mesh, Consul, and Istio.
• Familiarity with NIFI, Kafka, Active Directory (AD), DNS management, Group Policy, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and system hardening techniques.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in managing Linux-based infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a structured task package allocation system.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
