Role Synopsis
The purpose of this role is to ensure strategic alignment, and support knowledge sharing across bp’s global hydrogen mobility activities.
The role will need to work with global businesses to provide support on strategy, context, knowledge, advocacy, funding, business models, execution, partnerships, technology, and commerciality of deals.
This role will be required to set up processes to provide oversight, support, and governance of the global process hopper.
Support will require becoming involved in technical and commercial aspects of activity, especially where they differ by region.
Stakeholders will be predominantly internal though geographically diverse across customers & products, strategy & sustainability, gas & low carbon energy, innovation & engineering, communications & advocacy, trading & shipping, as well as multiple supporting functions.
Key AccountabilitiesEnsure timely, accurate sharing of knowledge
Strong networking / influencing across global internal stakeholder groups
Commercial understanding of hydrogen mobility business strategy and timeframes
Ensure continued strategic alignment and maximise value across regions
Share risks, deal structures, technology, contractual and procurement information as required
Build capability for the future
Share expertise on key assumptions metrics for renewable energy projects
Actively collaborate with internal stakeholders and guide choices to ensure robust assumptions, options, sources of value, and sensitivities
Support hydrogen mobility needs outside key geographies e.g. Communication / RC&S
Maximise value through understanding how proposals create value for bp, and ability to translate that into short-term and long-term decisions.
Support competitor intelligence, regulatory credits
Essential Experience and Job Requirements:Resilient and able to adapt and remain motivated when faced with ambiguity
Well-developed team working and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse team with minimum guidance
Ability to build networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge, building trust and confidence to support efficient progress with action items
Experience of working on projects at the various stages of development, including feasibility and concept selection
Demonstrated visionary with ability to think big picture, looking beyond normal and navigating to delivery
Understanding of steps required for development of projects from concept into operations and commercial contract structures
Background in financial analysis, preparation and management of budgets and project cost estimates
Knowledge of business processes
Excellent organizational, planning, written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with decision-makers and non-specialists
Experience in the energy industry in either an engineering, commercial or consulting role(s)
Experience of working on energy or related projects
