This role is located in Manchester but provides hybrid / Remote working for all members of the team.

What the Head of SEO will be involved in:

• Develop and oversee a robust SEO strategy across all platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards.
• Apply your technical expertise to enhance website structures, manage crawl budgets, implement schemas, and resolve complex SEO issues.
• Use SEO data to test, prioritize, and execute content and technical opportunities for optimal results.
• Create and manage international SEO strategies, focusing on major markets such as the UK, US, and Europe.
• Collaborate with ecommerce product, buying, and trading teams to turn SEO insights into actionable plans.
• Lead website and platform migrations, ensuring continuous organic performance.
• Guide and manage the SEO team, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and improvement.
• Work with copywriters and freelancers to produce SEO-optimized content across various sectors.

To be successful as the Head of SEO, you will need the following:

• Proven leadership experience in SEO, with a proactive approach to implementing changes.
• Ability to transform data into actionable insights, coupled with strong analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of technical SEO and its impact on content and rankings.
• Exceptional native English copywriting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to train and manage expectations of key stakeholders.
• Knowledge of building web pages using basic HTML, CSS, and CMS systems.
• Experience with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and SEMrush.
• Ability to promote collaboration and effectively unite teams.
• Demonstrated success in SEO within an ecommerce environment or with ecommerce clients.
• Knowledge of international SEO practices.
• Experience with ecommerce PIM/CMS systems like Shopify, Magento, or Shopline, and content platforms like WordPress or Prismic.
• Experience in working directly with developers to specify technical SEO requirements.
• Track record of executing successful link-building or SEO campaigns.
• Understanding of other organic sales channels, including Google Merchant Centre, Amazon, eBay, and Etsy.
• Multilingual abilities are an advantage.

The package on offer for the Head of SEO includes:

• Salary range of £40,000 to £65,000 depending on experience plus Company Performance Bonus
• Flexible hybrid working model within the UK, allowing you to balance work and personal life.
• 25 days of annual leave plus an additional day off for your birthday.
• Annual discretionary bonus based on company performance.
