The eCommerce Customer Development Manager is responsible for fully capturing the online opportunity with Hill’s UK & IE key eCom pure play and omnichannel customers and supporting the eCommerce team lead to shape and deploy the online strategy for Hill’s.
You will manage the business relationship with Top Customers to (1) gain market share, (2) optimise customer support for Hill’s brands and (3) develop, negotiate and implement Joint Value Creation Plan including forecasting and monitoring of agreed objectives.
This role is fundamental in leading Hill’s to be “digital first”. You are an experienced sales person, have a proven track record in eCommerce and are looking for a challenge in a new growing team. Outstanding negotiator, seeks to discover common ground, identify vital interests, and understand the customer’s underlying priorities. You are service-oriented: you don’t work for yourself, but for our team and our customer. You enjoy the idea of ‘building relationships’, and negotiating with/ selling to customers. You are financially proficient and excellent at setting prices, terms and conditions for prospective clients.Through effective communication with your colleagues you enjoy fostering innovation in marketing and commercial campaigns. You are well organized, structured, with proven ability to develop strategy, lead negotiations and translate this into actionable plans
Accountability for delivering financial performance across your eComm customers in line with Budget / LE
Identify win-win opportunities. Understand assigned customer strategies, policies and procedures and future plans as well as their digital tools and assets and their organization.
Co-create and deploy the eComm strategy for UK Hill’s & IE business.
Build, negotiate and execute JBP plans with key eComm retailers that deliver best in class activation, grow the retailers’ category and deliver share growth for Hill’s, in alignment with our Hill’s selective distribution policies, T&C guidelines and ensuring compliance to our Commercial Selling Principles
Drive customer engagement working cross functionally to ensure that Hill’s is the advanced nutrition strategic partner of choice with our customers. Sharing insights and developing collaborative programmes for growth
Accurately forecast volume/sales/investment through effective 6P+A (Price, Promotion, Distribution, Visibility, Content, Ratings & Reviews, and Availability) planning and clear identification of risks and opportunities on a monthly cycle.
Elevate the cooperation with the customers by leveraging all the Online Acceleration Centre eMarketing capabilities (Content, Website, Search, Social/Digital engagement, CRM and Analytics).
Actively engage Supply Chain partners to develop accurate demand plans and ensure service levels are in line with customer objectives
Proactively create etail marketing demand at the customer by leveraging all the Online Critical success factors and levers.
Prepare and negotiate terms and retail marketing deals. Create short and long term plans for customer growth, ensuring profitable contracts with client specific prices, Terms and Conditions.
Drive “Do and Learn” initiatives and redeploy best practices in order to leverage growth opportunities while elevating local ecom capabilities.
Manage portfolio, product set-up, new item planning, promotion planning, forecasting volumes, inventory management, and creative content and implement promotion & marketing activities for each customer.

Proficient in all Google tools. Demonstrable experience in dashboard building
Account management experience with proven track of successful commercial skills with online retailers (5 years)

Proficient in digital shelf analysis tools and leveraging data to build business cases
Has a good understanding of digital marketing channels and experience in deploying the right levers to drive business growth
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
A confident individual who is able to lead, coach and work effectively in a cross functional team and under conditions of uncertainty or complexity
