Digital Marketing Lead

About the Role

My client, a national financial company, is expanding its digital marketing capability and organic presence across the UK.
They’re seeking a hands-on SEO & Digital Marketing Lead to take full ownership of SEO, Local SEO, and PPC campaigns, as well as AI-driven content strategies using tools like Atlas or Meta.

This role is ideal for a results-driven marketer who enjoys technical SEO, paid search, WordPress management, and AI content optimisation, and wants to shape a national digital footprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy to drive high-quality organic traffic
• Take ownership of WordPress websites – including site structure, templates, plugins, SEO health, and performance
• Plan and execute Local SEO initiatives across multiple regions and service areas
• Manage PPC campaigns to support lead generation and marketing objectives
• Use AI tools (Atlas, Meta, or similar) to generate, optimise, and scale content across landing pages and blogs
• Monitor and report on performance using GA4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, GTM, and other analytics tools
• Conduct competitor analysis, content optimisation, and link-building strategies to improve visibility
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all digital marketing efforts align with strategy and business goals

About You

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, WordPress, Local SEO, and PPC
• Proven ability to manage and optimise WordPress websites end-to-end
• Experience with AI-powered content tools such as Atlas, Meta, GPT platforms, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of technical SEO, link building, and local search optimisation
• Experienced using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog/Sitebulb, GTM, Looker Studio
• Confident managing multiple projects, presenting insights, and driving strategy across teams
• Analytical, proactive, and focused on measurable results
