About the team
The Digital & Marketing Communications Team is being established to transform the way that Changeworks engages with our audiences and will lead on organisational and service marketing alongside developing our digital presence. The team overall is responsible for evolving our brand, positioning the organisation, increasing our profile and driving more people to adopt a low carbon life.
About the role
This a new role will transform Changeworks approach to content development and maintenance with the postholder able to coordinate our digital activity, design our approach to content development, optimisation, testing, governance, and auditing.
You will work across the organisation to leading on digital planning and tactics whilst engaging subject experts to ensure our content remains relevant and focused to deliver our strategy objectives.
You will be able to champion and drive the use to digital content and communications within Changeworks to power our growth through reaching and engaging a wide range of customers.
About you
A passion for the role that digital can play in helping people alongside demonstrable experience in developing and delivering a content strategy for websites and marketing communication campaigns, adopting a mobile first approach.
You will have previously managed a website and led on development with experience of writing, editing, proofreading, and publishing content with a user-focused approach. You will have a keen understanding of accessible content, SEO, metadata and schema mark-up. Professional experience of using a web content management system and publishing tools to create and maintain online content. With working knowledge of content design methodology and the benefits of its application in a charity with wide-ranging audiences and user needs.
You will be comfortable working with digital analytical tools such as, Google Analytics and Hotjar to drive continual improvement.
You will have excellent communications skills and ability to communicate with a broad range of people and experience of leading a team in a matrix environment to drive multiple projects.

This post would have typically been based at our Edinburgh office (36 Newhaven Road, Edinburgh) however we are currently designing our new ways of working. Over the coming months we will be looking to offer increased flexibility about where we work, in a hybrid of home and office base depending on the needs of each role
