THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to support delivery of assets within BBC Studios’ marketing genres, to ensure they’re managed and stored effectively, and that the delivery of content meets requirements of those accessing our digital asset management storage system (DAM).

This includes uploading assets, liaising with BBC Public Service, BBCS regional teams, external partners and clients, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. The role also involves supporting our teams to effectively traffic our paid media campaigns by co-ordinating various stakeholder requirements ahead of campaign launch.

Day to day

• Monitor the admin email inbox and deal with enquiries relating to asset access held in our DAM software.
• Deliver content to customers, prioritising appropriately to meet deadlines.
• Process all upload requests from Genre Marketing.
• Ensure correct metadata details are included for asset delivery to increase the accuracy of search results.
• Answer basic DAM software user enquiries.
• Re-file and re-house assets for preservation and searchability purposes.
• Ensure that the storage system folder hierarchy standards and correct naming conventions are adhered to, promoting best user practice.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
• Clip promo assets from Public Service.
• Communicate ad-hoc requests from Marketing to Public Service.
• Maintain log of upload requests and keep status tracker up to date.
• Support key stakeholders to effectively use our asset management software e.g. through updating training guides, onboarding new starters, troubleshooting.
• Represent Genre Marketing at a monthly asset management stakeholder meeting.
• Support the team with reporting needs and analysing usage data.
• Identify areas for improvement and support wider asset management improvement plans across the Brands & Licensing division.
• Coordinate the trafficking process for delivering paid digital advertising assets, with accuracy and on time.
• Establish clear communication and roles and responsibilities between all parties involved (i.e., our media agencies, our internal teams, and creative suppliers or media owners as relevant)
• Set work-back schedules & proactively identify when delays may impact delivery deadlines and seek solutions to resolve.
• Use autonomy to make suggestions to improve the process
• Support Genre Marketing with other asset management & delivery as required.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

Key Criteria

• Experience working with digital asset storage software.
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and basic editing skills.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative in identifying, developing and implementing service improvements.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively and adopt a flexible approach to a wide range of duties.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships.

Desirables

• Ability to work alongside colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of key projects
• Ability to manage changeable workload volume of a recurrent nature.
• Experience working under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Experience co-ordinating multiple stakeholders with different dependencies.
• Knowledge of software: Orange Logic, Mycroft and Rightsline.
• Experience using a workflow platform such as
• Knowledge of broadcasting technology practices and relevant regulations.
• Awareness of technical issues such as media formats, aspect ratio and sound levels.
• Previous experience working with media agencies and co-ordinating the supply of digital advertising assets.
• Knowledge of BBC content, both current and archival.

Salary: If a range is being advertised: £27,000 – £32,000 + London Weighting (£5,164) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
