Content & Subscriptions Manager

An exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our family publishing business as a Content & Subscription Manager. We have published one of the UK s leading consumer powerboating titles for 30 years and are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our small but dedicated team.

Content & Subscriptions Manager Duties

• Subscriber Management: day-to-day processing of orders and fulfilment; telesales to encourage renewals from existing subscribers; back issue and single issue orders and fulfilment.
• Readers Bulletin: preparing our weekly email newsletter within Mailchimp featuring news and articles, and sending to our subscribers and opt-ins; creating marketing drives across social platforms to encourage opt-ins to the newsletter.
• Website: adding content to our WordPress website, including news and articles; updating the website with the latest issue for subscription/single issue sales; working with Yoast plug-in to add SEO to posts.
• Digital Edition: assisting in adding live links and video content to our digital edition; managing digital subscribers
• General Administration: assisting in general administration, arranging couriers, ordering office supplies, franking mail, answering main phone, processing e-sign advertising orders; chasing advertising artwork; managing mailing lists.

Required Skills

• High-level IT skills; ability to grasp new programs efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner; confidence and efficiency when talking with subscribers and clients.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign, a bonus.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in written work.
• Personable with a can-do attitude, willing to muck in as part of a small team.
• Applicant must be able to drive and must have their own car: office is in a rural location.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Mailchimp.
• Familiarity with content management systems like WordPress.
• Knowledge of, or interest in, boating a bonus but not essential.

Schedule

Part-time / On site.

Monday to Friday, no weekends

Flexitime 20 hours per week / Suggested hours: 9.30am to 3.00pm / 4 days per week or 9.30am to 5.30pm /3 days per week / one-hour lunch break. Open to discussing other schedules.

Salary

£13.50 per hour / 20 hours a week = £14,040 per annum – Negotiable for the right applicant.
