About the Role
The role is home based (i.e. a peripatetic role) and involves regular travel within a designated BDM field territory as well as to Newcastle Building Society head office as and when required. Living within the specified geographical territory is desirable.
As a Business Development Manager you will be the face of Newcastle Intermediaries for the mortgage broking community. You will manage specific broker relationships within a geographical territory whilst delivering excellent service through an effective business development strategy that supports the delivery of the Society’s strategic mortgage lending plans.
About You
You will have a strong track record of achieving business goals and objectives along with experience of managing B2B relationships (and ideally mortgage intermediaries). Experience of identifying and developing successful new business relationships and opportunities is essential.
First class communication and presentation skills are required along with the ability to self manage effectively. Strong negotiation, influencing and problem resolution skills are essential.
CeMAP or a similar mortgage qualification, knowledge of the UK mortgage marketplace and good knowledge of mortgage products and lending policies would be advantageous however not essential.

This is a key role and opportunity to identify, build and manage designated intermediary relationships, supporting the growth plan objectives of Newcastle Building Society and adding value to our intermediary partners.
