Role Description: As a Business Development Manager, you will develop and implement sales strategies, establish and maintain relationships with customers, and identify market trends to drive growth. This role requires extensive travel within the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop commercial relationships with new customers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and rebate schemes.
• Conduct sales forecasting and contribute to strategic planning.
• Monitor profitability and implement cost recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with technical teams on product development.
• Prepare accurate monthly and periodic sales reports.
• Engage in digital marketing and customer engagement activities.

Skills and Experience:

• Technical and sales experience in surface coatings or a similar industry.
• Proven track record in business development and sales.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strong understanding of market trends and strategic planning.
• Proficient in project management and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience in paints, plastics, inks, chemical, or polymer industries preferred.
• Fluency in English is essential; competency in another European language is an advantage.
• Technical qualifications or significant industry experience required.

Benefits:

• Attractive base salary of £50 000 plus On-Target Earnings (OTE), with initial earnings expected to be around an additional £10,000, but with uncapped potential.

• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, and also including Christmas shutdown.

Location and Hours: This is a hybrid/remote role with flexible working arrangements. While extensive travel is required, you will need to be in the office once or twice a month and for monthly/ quarterly sales team meetings.
