An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this well established, highly successful Property Auctioneers as an Auction Valuer to cover their Dorset region They also run weekly National Online Auctions which are timed auctions so clients can bid from the comfort of their own home.
They are seeking someone that has a good geographical knowledge of Dorset and the surrounding areas as well as ideally someone who has pre-existing relationships with property businesses in these regions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As an Auction Valuer, you will initially be both field based and working from home but with some visits to the regional office including livestream auction day and bi-weekly team meetings. The successful candidate will need to be proficient in identifying new business opportunities to self-generate property listings and develop the brand. Ideally you will already have a network of contacts within these areas.
Key Duties will Include –
Identifying and canvassing sources of new listings
Undertaking appraisals, converting instructions, as well as marketing and selling these through proactive negotiation
Servicing Appraisals received from central ops team
Building on existing working relationships to maximise business
Being responsible for cultivating, supporting and encouraging new buyers
Responding to enquiries via telephone and e-mail with the support of the Auction Coordinator
Conducting viewings for listings with the assistance of self-generated video viewings and social media marketing
Taking an active role in marketing and brand awareness with a view to mirroring the social and digital media framework that is present within the brand to include consistent potential social media content generation
Delivering excellent customer service to new and potential clients via telephone, e-mail, online and video communication
Awareness of all advertisement of online portals such as Rightmove and Zoopla with a view to contacting potential vendors to see if they would consider selling via auction.
Experience
Essential
Previous experience of working within a valuation level role in the property sector
Excellent communication skills both in person, written and on the telephone
Be Self Motivated and have an ability to generate and close the business, strong business conversion is a must
Full driving licence and a willingness to travel when needed
Good area knowledge of these areas is essential
An ability to self-generate business and build successful business relationships
Experience in valuing and listing property for marketing purposes of at least 3 years
Desirable
Previous experience of either in-house or online property auctions would be an advantage

A competitive basic salary in the region of £28,000 – £34,000 D.O.E (OTE £45k+)

20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and additional Christmas shutdown (4/5 days additional holiday)
