A unique opportunity for you to join the Suffolk County Council’s
Advertising Team as an Advertising Advisor.
Suffolk Advertising as a Team is responsible for handling the booking
and design of recruitment, public notice, and promotional advertising on
behalf of Suffolk County Council and a large number of external
organisations.
A range of media channels is used including digital and social media,
printed publications, outdoor media, and radio.
The Team
Within the advertising industry, there is a culture to get the work done

In our busy industry, environment, and team, we manage and book a
significant volume of advertising with various media, so it is crucial
that we ensure the bookings are accurate and made on time; whilst
maintaining our extremely high level of customer service.
Every team member has a responsibility to work not only on their own
initiative but also collaboratively.
We all work effectively to ensure everything is progressed
satisfactorily from the client’s perspective and mistakes are kept to a
minimum; as any mistake could have a significant and direct impact on
our relationships, reputation, business, and revenue.

competitive in an increasingly more challenging market; but also
fulfilling the need to understand and keep up with the advancements in
technology and trends that affect the service we provide.

basis.
Your role
You will be on hand to advise and guide the client through the
advertising process; ensuring that we deliver on our promise of
providing suitable, cost-effective advertising to suit their needs.
You will also:
\* write and edit advertising text
\* be confident advising on and using various social media and digital
advertising channels
\* manage advertising campaigns on the in-house advertising booking
system (CAMS)
\* produce and cross-check complex financial data
\* check proofs and book advertising space with a range of media
suppliers.
In the team, this role reports to the Advertising Manager, or in their
absence the HR Operations Manager, and holds key relationships with
several partners (including local authorities, schools, and charities),
clients, and external agencies.
Some of the key skills and qualification you will need are:
* a NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject field (ie
* advertising, business management, communications and marketing) or a
* corresponding level of knowledge and experience
* experience in successfully carrying out specialist detailed
* administrative and financial procedures
* excellent standard of literacy and numeracy skills and an eye for detail
* the ability to work well under pressure and on your own initiative
* excellent influencing, negotiation and client management skills
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* the ability to deliver key messages and complex information to a wide
* range of audiences
* excellent skills in IT and social media
* experience of managing and rationalising complex financial information.
