Ocado Retail
Welcome to the Ocado Retail Graduate Scheme
We’re Ocado Retail. We’re the people powering Ocado.com, the UK’s fastest-growing grocer, and Ocado Zoom, our almost-as-fast-growing, same-day grocery service.
As the world’s biggest and best online-only grocer, we work tirelessly to bring more of what matters to our customers: unbeatable range, fair value and effortless convenience.
Our business is a joint venture between Marks & Spencer Group and Ocado Group. It’s a successful combination of award-winning customer service and unrivalled customer data; world-leading technology and logistics from Ocado Group, and unrivalled product development from M&S. We’re the largest online only grocery in the world, and we’ve got huge plans to grow even bigger in the next few years.
We’re an exceptional and mighty bunch of colleagues who are inspired by our three awesome values: Always be curious, Bring your best self and Challenge what’s possible. We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for like-minded people to join us for the next step of this incredible journey.
Our graduate scheme will give you a broad understanding of the whole business, but is divided into six distinct streams covering our key functions in Buying, Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Operations and Insight to ensure you will finish the scheme with the skills needed to move into a full time role.
The streams come together for an induction into the whole business at the start of the scheme, as well as regular learning and development sessions (and of course the odd social event!). We ask that you only apply to one scheme.
Across all the streams we look to give you responsibility from day one as we believe the best way to learn is by doing, though of course we’ll be here to support you the whole way. So if you are looking for an exciting first-step into retail at a fast growing business, this is the scheme for you.
Retail
Ocado’s marketing is not about subjectivity and gut feel, it’s about deep insight into what inspires our customers and what are the ways we can satisfy their needs and wants. It’s about lateral thinking and doing more with less, finding subtle improvements and opportunities that lie in new and established channels and media.
From TV and Digital to Social, PR and Email, we think there’s always a way to do things better. We look for simplicity, we apply targeting and personalisation and strive to say the right thing at the right time in the right way to every individual customer.
Each individual in our team has their own distinct responsibility and we all have a large degree of autonomy, which makes working here so great. We scope up commercially viable projects, create marketing and testing plans, brief creatives, measure KPIs,track performance and learn. Our work is constantly developing, fast paced, and driven by customer understanding and data.
